Dr. Matthias Geist, Superintendent of the Protestant Church in Vienna, took over as Chairman of the Ethics Committee of Evangelisches Krankenhaus at the beginning of 2023. The multifaceted tasks of this six-member body include the assessment and approval of the hospital’s research work. The Ethics Committee therefore makes a significant contribution to quality assurance. 

Superintendent Dr. Geist also wants to further intensify the existing good cooperation between Evangelisches Krankenhaus and the ethics committees of Vienna General Hospital and the City of Vienna in the future.
